
American Blonde all-grain beer set
The recipe is inspired by American blonde ales that combine a light malt base with light fruitiness. Brewed with pilsner and wheat malt for a clean and smooth character, and a careful addition of Cascade and Citra that adds freshness and a hint of citrus - typical of the style.
The beer set is designed for 20L for fermentation.
In the recipe sheet that comes with it is possible to cut out a label ready made for the Bishop Tap Handle!
Style: Blonde Ale
Alcohol content: approx. 5.4%. Expected OG: approx. 1,050. FG: approx. 1,009
IBU: approx. 16 – slightly/moderately bitter. Color: 8 EBC - straw yellow
Contains 4.6 kg of crushed malt:
Malt: Pilsner malt, Wheat malt, Dextrin malt
Hops: Cascade and Citra
Yeast: Fermentis US-05
Mash at 67°C for 60 minutes. Boil for 60 minutes. Add hops according to the instructions on the hop bags.
Ferment at approx. 20°C.
Add 6g sugar per liter of beer when bottling, and let it carbonate at 20-28°C for about 14 days before storing in a cool place.
